About breeding and living with our Lhasa Apsos      
( FCI - ÖKV - ÖTH )

We are members of the FCI ( Federation Cynologique Internationale), the ÖKV ( the Austrian cynologique association) and the ÖTH ( Austrian Club for Tibetan Dogs).

I am board-member of the Austrian Club for Tibetan Breeds and the representative for Lhasa Apsos in Austria.

Normaly the Lhasa Apso is an accompany dog. (FCI-Group 9). Our Lhasa Apsos are for us adequate family members and not decorating or purpose-fulfilling domestic animals. We love and respect our dogs and cannot imagine a life without them. They are special creatures for us, which we do not only love, but also respect. We decided to divide the life with them therefore they are also everywhere integrated and experienced thereby and fully into the family and in no regard an exclusion. We have no cages or dog-rooms, the dogs are running in the house and the large garden, whenever they want and are there, were we are.

Nutrition/health:
The readiness on financial restrictions must be given, since an exemplary dog attitude, nutrition, a care and a breed an expensive thing are. Our dogs dependent on us humans and we alone carry the responsibility and have the obligation to provide for a good, long, healthy life of our dogs. In case of nutrition we make sure that our Lhasa Apsos is weighed out and fed in correct relationship. Lhasa Apsos are very good fodder-worth and one may there not necessarily to the packing labels that manufacturing adhere. Considered and carefully we use only dog food, which does not contain artificial preservation and additives. With the auxiliary products we fall back to nature means the increase of the defense forces or healthy attitude. In case of health we make sure that with our dogs regularly at least 1 x is accomplished annually with the veterinary surgeon complete health - a check and the dogs are introduced to the veterinary surgeon annually at least 2x, if they need in the meantime no physician. As additional support for bodies, spirit and soul our dogs receive besides still depending upon need and life situation differently homoeopathic means. If our dogs need veterinary support,we do not wait, but immediately acted.

Our puppies are in great demand, mostly our puppies are ordered in advance before they are born, so please calculate a bit of a waiting time.

Visitors are very welcome in our kennel, but as we are very busy, an appointment is necessary.
Please understand that we do not sell or reserve puppies without having met the future owners in advance.
We also reserve the right to refuse to sell a puppy , if we consider the future place is not right.
All our puppies are part of our passion and   a piece of our hearts , placing a puppy is a very fragile matter for us.
We don´t ship puppies, we want to know the owners before we are selling a puppy.

Supply during the pregnantness of the dog:
In pregnantness we let examine our bitch before mating thoroughly by the veterinary surgeon , so that we can assume surely the dog can through-live the pregnancy by a good general condition fit and healthy.
Briefly after the birth mother and puppies are examined thoroughly with the veterinary surgeon. Thus we switch already certain risks off, which can be connected with it in the apron.

We have therefore a high costing and expenditure of time, in order to ensure responsibly, conscientiously and with love the optimum supply of our animals. Selection of sire we high requirements with the selection of the sire place there, proceed we also in this connection very carefully and well planned. If we found a sire, it is independent of at which distance he lives. If it corresponds to our expectations, also the travel abroad does not hold back us. Of course before expanded investigations (examination of the ancestors with transmission) take place, with intensive establishment of contact to the owner, because the sire should recover from, come of to good line (without genetic and helthy engraving problems) and represent itself with good, open, safe, friendly nature/character. Thus we regard health and a good character as priority and very important, afterwards only the appearance and the beauty, because also a champion dog does not have carry and leave always a good sire to be, or can also genetically caused disease problems in its line.

Of course also we know that there are no 100 %ige perfection in the breed, because there is now times organisms and no provided finished products and we humans are not also error and immaculately. Also a badly decided combination between the sire and the dam could lead to problems, which does not show itself unfortunately before to suspect and also later then only by the new generation, even if the sireand the dam are from very good quality. Thus the breeder learns from it and it shows him for the future the fact that this connection did not harmonize well with one another genetically and was not optimally with each other co-ordinated (... fit too each other). So the sire in addition, not only the dog cannot only be made for this responsible in this case. This is only a small view of the not completely simple breed happening and the correct choice of the sire. If the sire several descendants from different connections already witnessed, it is already simpler in the apron to make itself over the leaving qualities outgoing from the father a picture because then it can be also examined, from which quality the descendants are, with which nature they show up and whether them on the whole freely of genetically caused, serious illnesses are.

Before the birth:
Already during the pregnancy the nut/mother dog receives supporting homoeopathic means, with it it physically and mentally strengthened for the again developing situation and birth carefully. It is not during the day any longer left also days before the birth alone and sleeps at night with us together.
Briefly after the birth: If it is so far with the birth, and/or already past, the dog and also the puppies with brook blooms (whale groove thereby become it outside of the nut/mother body to their new environment and new life more easily to accustom to be able itself. Possibly also Rescue as protection from a possibly developing shock condition) and homoeopathic means supplies. After 1 - 3 days our veterinary visits us, in order to examine mother and puppy thoroughly.
